Mommy Time

It is very important to take some time out each day just for yourself. Morning or evening, it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that you take the time every single day to be kind to yourself.

Take at least 20 to 30 minutes every single day, just to do something for yourself. Whether that is enjoying a cup of coffee and a book, or taking a really hot long bath – or a nap –  it doesn’t matter. As long as this is time for you. When you work from home it is very important to take time for yourself, away from work, kids, and your husband.

Moms who work at home as Virtual Assistants tend to get carried away, working all hours of the day and night. Why? Well, that’s easy to figure out, it’s because your work is right here, right in front of you at all hours of the day and night, you can’t escape it. Or at least you think you cannot escape it.  But the truth is, you can ! You work for yourself, you are the boss.

Your family will be a lot happier if you take time away from work, and them, to rejuvenate and refresh. This will enable you to come back to them a happier, healthier mommy and wife. Your clients will also be happier if you are able to balance your work life and your personal life. You will be less likely to become ill, and more likely to experience satisfaction from your work.

And isn’t satisfaction from work one reason you became a Virtual Assistant? If you’re going to work yourself into an early grave you may as well save yourself the trouble and go work for someone else that might treat you better. Treat yourself at least as good as you would want any employer to treat you.
